Cancer cells are malevolent and wicked
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (KJV).
I have always considered cancer to be like rust. Have you ever noticed how destructive rust is to a car? It eats into the body making it brittle and easy to break. To get rid of rust you have to cut the affected area out and rebuild the area with new metal or some other type of reconstructive material. Cancer is of course a lot different. In the human body we have trillions of cells. All our cells serve some sort of specialist role. When they get old, damaged or sick, they are signalled to self-destruct and are replaced by healthy new cells. This signal is known as apoptosis and cancer cells ignore it. Instead of self-destructing, they hang around and divide instead, growing in number and forming masses. As there are over 100 different cancers, each type damages the body in different ways. Some cancers stay local and donât spread, while others travel to other parts of the body and create more havoc there. Cancer cells are malevolent and wicked, just like Satan who has one intent to kill and destroy. Cancer cells are smart too; they can setup systems in the body that utilises the bodyâs own resources to destroy itself. For instance cancer cells use healthy cells to feed tumours by forming blood vessels that feed tumours with oxygen and nutrients. Some cancer cells can hide from the immune system which is designed to remove them from the body. Others can keep the immune system from killing their mates. They are like a criminal organisation infecting a community and destroying the people that live within it. Presumably we are all born with cancer in our bodies, but our immune systems are usually able to keep them at bay â mine failed.
